FSSC 22000

Many standards have been developed in the field of food safety: special corporate standards, legal regulations, as well as standards developed by the retail trade. Their wide spread has made it difficult for many companies to adapt to change and follow developments. At the same time, the application of general principles for managing food safety risks has spread throughout the world. In the context of globalization and increased trade between countries, systematic and confirmed food safety work has become a more important aspect for all actors in the food chain.

What is FSSC 22000?
Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) is a combination of management system related requirements in the ISO 22000 standard, generally accepted working methods with basic prerequisites and the additional requirements of the FSSC 22000 standard.

FSSC 22000 is intended for virtually all companies in the food chain and has been reviewed and approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Bureau Veritas Certification is officially approved by the Foundation of Food Safety Certification to deliver this certification globally.

Bureau Veritas Certification can help any food chain operator to meet the highest standards of quality, health and safety and the environment. We are approved to perform FSSC 22000 certification globally, operate in more than 100 countries and have already issued more than 500 certificates for the standard worldwide, making us a world leader by a good margin.
